Matching

I love to match Lily. It's a habit I started when she was a newborn and I just cant break it!
Plus we share a closet so its really easy to coordinate outfits!
And its just so fun!
I'm sure if I have a boy next I will make him and Ben match!;)

First day we ever matched!:)

I love having my own personal American Girl Doll!;)

A week in the life of a stay at home wife

I love being a stay at home mom.
I enjoy spending my time watching Lily grow up not missing out
on anything. I feel blessed that I get to have the privilege of being with her 24/7
(But don't get me wrong, I do get breaks!)
Before I got pregnant I really did enjoy my job. I loved being around
people all the time and I felt proud of myself after a long days work.
Being a stay at home mom/wife is lots of work too, but in a different way.
At home I have the freedom to do whatever I want whenever I want.
I like having a free schedule so that I can go visit my family for 2 weeks at a time and not have to worry about taking off work.
When I first decided it was time to leave work and be a full time stay at home wife, I thought that I might get stir crazy! I cant be in the house
for that long without going mad! I am NOT a home body!
I like to be out and about and around people. Other people give me energy, even if its just going to the grocery store.
So I have been a stay at home wife for about 1 1/2 years and I have not gone stir crazy once. I have found plenty of ways to keep me happy and occupied. And having Lily has not tied me down to the house either.
Ever since she was a week old, I have taken her everywhere with me.
So what do I do all week????
Here is a short version of our week.
Mondays I go grocery shopping with Lily, Tuesdays I usually have a play
group with two of my friends Britta and Meg and there little girls.
Wednesday-Friday are days where I usually do one thing a day.
I either take Lily to the mall and we walk around, get lunch and then I let her play in the kid section for awhile. I also love to go to
Hobby Lobby and Target.
(even if I dont buy anything its always fun to look)
And usually once a week we go to lunch with Janelle.
Saturday Ben is usually home all day so we stick close to home and play with him.
Sunday is our rest day. We go to church in the morning, come home and eat lunch and then we are pretty much lazy the rest of the day.
And then my week starts all over again.
When we are home Lily loves to play with all her toys and climb up onto
everything. She is pretty content to play with herself and thats nice for me because then I can clean, cook, do laundry and of course, watch some netflix!:)She also takes 2 naps a day for about an hour each.
I dont know if it's because Lily has been going everywhere since she was a newborn, but I can tell that she gets bored if we stay at the house to long. If we havn't done anything all day, by the evening if I take her to go through Mcdonalds with me to get a coke she gets SO excited.
She laughs when I put her in her car seat and smiles the whole time.
She also is a people person for sure.
She loves it when people come up and say hi to her.
She has absolutely no stranger danger.
She just laughs and laughs when people tell her how cute she is.
Shes like "I know guys, I know"
So that's about it. OF course every day is a little different.
I love being a mom and it's better than I imagined it to be!

There, Their, They're

Ok guys, I know I am not the smartest person on the block and my grammer is less than ideal.
I do however know the difference between There, Their and They're
There: Talking about a place
Their: Indication of a possession
They're: They are
Simple enough right?
Well when I make a status update on facebook, or when I am writing a post
on my blog, my mind is full of other things and I just dont want to sit and think of what "there" I
am supposed to use. So that is why my fall back "there" is always "there"
So if you are reading my blog and you are going crazy because I am mixing up my theres, just know
that deep deep down I know the difference! I did graduate from high school and went to collage!
(haha I know collage is actually spelled college, just wanted to tease you!)
Ok thats all!
(or as it should be, that's all!:)

Gary's Pumpkin Patch

On the last day that my family was here we
went to Garys Pumpkin Patch. It was the last day they
were open for the season. Garys Berrys(pumkin patch in the fall)
is a Kansas favorite. They have a pumpkin patch, corn maze, food, goats, pig races, shoot slides and tractor rides. Its just the perfect
place to go in the fall.

It was a great day and a perfect way to end their visit!
