"Return To Pooh Corner"
Christopher Robin and I walked along
Under branches lit up by the moon
Posing our questions to Owl and Eeyore
As our days disappeared all too soon
But I've wandered much further today than I should
And I can't seem to find my way back to the Wood
So help me if you can
I've got to get back
To the House at Pooh Corner by one
You'd be surprised
There's so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh
Winnie the Pooh doesn't know what to do
Got a honey jar stuck on his nose
He came to me asking help and advice
From here no one knows where he goes
So I sent him to ask of the Owl if he's there
How to loosen a jar from the nose of a bear
Help me if you can
I've got to get back
To the House at Pooh Corner by one
You'd be surprised
There's so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh
It's hard to explain how a few precious things
Seem to follow throughout all our lives
After all's said and done I was watching my son
Sleeping there with my bear by his side
So I tucked him in, I kissed him and as I was going
I swear that the old bear whispered "Boy welcome home"
Believe me if you can
I've finally come back
To the House at Pooh Corner by one
What do you know
There's so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky
Back to the days of Christopher Robin
Back to the ways of Christopher Robin
Back to the days of Pooh
Under branches lit up by the moon
Posing our questions to Owl and Eeyore

Kenny Loggins wrote the first 2 verses of this song in the original
"HOuse at Pooh Corner"
when he was a senior in high school. He was about to take his finals
and felt like he was closing a chapter of his life.
The last few verses were written years later when he became a father for
the first time.
Every time I hear this song I get teary eyed!
There is nothing more special then being a parent and I value every minute with my little Lily!
The Holidays are sweeter and I feel like a kid again.
Santa seems more real and Christmas music is more cheerful!
I remember 2 years ago when I was working at the law firm, I only had one day off for Christmas. I was so homesick for my family and we were in the middle of doing treatment to try and get pregnant. It was a very low point in my life and this song always came to mind.
I wanted to be a kid again. I didnt want to have to worry about so many things.
But the last verse of his song would always play in my head.
"Its hard to explain how a few precious things
seem to follow throughout all our lives
After all said and done I was watching my son
sleeping there with his bear by his side.
So I tucked him in, I kissed him
and as I moved on, I swear that old bear whispered
BOy, welcome home"
I knew that one day I would be a mom and that I would tuck in my
babies and I would feel that joy of knowing that I get to
be a kid again with my own kids, and watch them as they discover life!
So now, 2 years later, my baby is almost one and is such a joy.
She is the light of my life and she makes me appreciate the small stuff!
I feel like I have finally come back to my own Pooh Corner!
