My family! The SCLOMPS(all our last name initials) haha now we are the GRROMPS aka...3 of us are married now |
Our neighborhood. It was so fun to be so close to so many attractions and the hustle and bustle of the city. |
It was not suprising to always see me with a coke in my hand and a snickers in my purse. Still holds true to this day! |
- Sharing a room with my best friends and skyping each other in the same room
- Being able to go to class in your pajamas
- Bus trips riding in the back always whining about how horrible the drive was
- Going to musicals(Lion King, Les Mes, Billy Elliot, Hairspray, Wicked & Olivar)
- Goofing around in every museum with Lana and comparing our bodies to those of woman in famous paintings. (Girls back then were fat!)
- Eating cheesecake from the local grocery store.
- Me always having to go into every store(Just for a second) while all my friends rolled there eyes at me!
- Going 1 1/2 hours to church every Sunday to be with my sunbeams! Most adorable kids I have ever seen! I loved being in the Nigerian Ward.
- Seeing so many castles and cathedrials(acutally once you have toured one church/castle you have seen them all.) that is why Lana and I would alway find other ways to entertain ourselves. Like talking in Double Talk, which goes to my next memory!
- DOUBLE DOUBLE TALK TALK....Lana and I went through a whole morning on one of our trips repeating every word we said. Everyone hated us that day. But we were laughing so hard. Especialy when I did it to my professor and it totally sounded like I was flirting with him"HI HI DR DR DURHAM DURHAM
- Singing french songs while in Paris bugging our friend Cortney to death!
- Celebrating my 19th birthday with a coke in hand!
My list can go on and on. All I know is I knew I wanted to go on a study abroad ever since I was little and Im so glad I was able to go!. I am so glad that I applied while still in high school and went as early as I did. Only being 18 and going to a different country without your family really taught me some independence. I loved every minute and I tell Ben all the time that when we have daughters I want them to be able to go on a study abroad. I better start saving!!! The boys will just have to settle for missions! haha! And to every girl that I lived with, I truly loved all of you! I hope that the next reunion I will actually be able to go!
Special dedication to my SCLOMPS! I love you girls so much and miss you everyday! I am so glad we were all together and I think you guys are just wonderful! Thank you for still being my great friends! And thanks for being bridesmaids! Best bridesmaids EVER! Love YOU ALL! Another road trip definitly needs to be in the making! New York is what Im thinking!;) Husbands not included! LOL...maybe they can come;)
